Romans 8:28 – “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
God’s ultimate purpose for us is to be conformed to the likeness of His Son. Recognizing our human inadequacy, He provides help through the Holy Spirit, who works within us to renew our minds and transform our lives.
Sanctification is the lifelong process by which the Holy Spirit strips away sinful habits and leads us into holiness. As we yield to God’s refining work, we are set apart for His divine assignment. We are called to reflect God’s character, integrity, and holiness in all that we do.
From the moment we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit seals us and begins His work of transformation. He convicts us of sin, leads us to repentance, and cleanses us from all unrighteousness so that we can bear good fruit. Romans 8:6 declares, “The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.”
The Holy Spirit teaches us all we need to know in order to live a godly life. He helps us to imitate Jesus, take off our old self, and put on the new self-one that is created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. As we grow spiritually, we understand that we do not belong to ourselves but to God. He is our Creator, Sustainer, Savior, Redeemer, and Protector-all we need to live a blessed life.
Although we will face difficult challenges, we hold onto the promise that God works all things together for good. Ecclesiastes 3:14 reminds us, “And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God’s purpose is that people should fear Him and obey His commands.”
Let us surrender all to Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to shape us into the people God desires us to be. In God’s perfect plan, everything has a reason and a purpose.
