Week Seven: By Rev. Keith Howard
Scripture: “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?” — 1 Corinthians 3:16
Devotional Thought:
From the moment I accepted Christ as my Savior, the Holy Spirit took residence within me. This is not a temporary visit—it’s a permanent indwelling presence. The Spirit is God’s personal seal, marking me as His own and assuring me of salvation.
The Holy Spirit brings comfort when we are weary, conviction when we wander, and courage when we feel weak. He empowers us to live victoriously. 1st Corinthians 15:57 tells us that God gave us the victory through Jesus Christ, and I can, and you can, reflect the life of Jesus in our words, actions, and attitudes.
Through Him, we gain strength to forgive, faith to persevere, and wisdom to discern God’s will.
God did not leave us to walk the Christian life alone—He sent His Spirit to guide, teach, and empower us.
The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us today!
Reflection:
• Am I allowing the Holy Spirit to lead my daily decisions?
• Do I rely on His power, or my own strength?
• How can I become more sensitive to His voice in prayer and Scripture?
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for living in me. Fill me afresh today. Lead me in truth, strengthen my faith, and help me walk in Your power. Let Your presence shine through my life so others may see Jesus in me. Amen.
