Week Six – by Rev. Keith Howard
Core Belief:
The Bible is God’s Word, authoritative in guiding faith and life.
Scripture:
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
— 2 Timothy 3:16–17
Devotional Thought:
In a world filled with opinions, trends, and shifting truths, the Word of God stands firm and unchanging. The Bible is not merely a collection of ancient writings—it is God’s living voice speaking to us today. It reveals who He is, what He has done, and how we are to live in relationship with Him.
When we acknowledge Scripture as our ultimate authority, we choose to align our beliefs, decisions, and lifestyles with God’s truth rather than culture’s opinions. The Word of God brings clarity where the world brings confusion, correction where there’s error, and hope where there’s despair.
The authority of Scripture doesn’t limit us—it liberates us.
It anchors us in truth and equips us to walk faithfully with God in every season of life.
Reflection Questions:
- Do I turn to Scripture first when seeking guidance, or do I rely on my own understanding?
- How can I make God’s Word my daily foundation for decisions and attitudes?
- What verse or passage has recently spoken to me with clarity or correction?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for giving us Your Word as our guide and truth. Help me to trust in its authority and to build my life on its foundation. Teach me to listen, obey, and find direction through Scripture each day. Amen.
