The question “My Lord God, what do you require of me?” is a heartfelt plea that invites us to reflect on how we live in response to God’s call. Micah 6:8 gives us a clear and simple answer: to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God. These three actions form the foundation of a life that honors God and blesses those around us.
Today, consider what it means to **do justly**. Are there areas in your life where you can stand up for fairness and righteousness? Justice is not just a societal concept but a personal commitment to live with integrity and defend the vulnerable.
Next, reflect on how you **love mercy**. Mercy is more than feeling compassion—it is actively showing kindness and forgiveness. Who in your life needs your mercy today? Loving mercy transforms relationships and reflects God’s own heart.
Finally, meditate on what it means to **walk humbly with God**. Humility is recognizing our dependence on Him and surrendering our pride. It is a daily journey of trusting God’s guidance and grace.
As you go through your day, ask yourself, “Am I doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with my God?” Let this verse guide your actions and attitudes. When we live by Micah’s charge, we align ourselves with God’s will and become a Beacon Light in the world.
**Prayer:**
Lord, help me to do what is just, to love mercy deeply, and to walk humbly with You every day. Teach me to live in a way that honors You and blesses others. Amen.
