The apostle Paul offers valuable advice on how to live a holy life in this passage. By studying and meditating on the Word of God, obeying and living by it, we can saturate our minds and hearts with His holy words and experience God’s love as we grow spiritually. This allows us to produce good fruit that attracts others to want to participate in the eternal benefits God offers to all. It is important to rely on the teaching of the Holy Spirit, who will remind us of everything we need to know. We are responsible for teaching and admonishing others what we have learned and pointing them to Jesus so that they too can make disciples for the kingdom of God. As Paul taught us, we should strive for peace among ourselves and be grateful.
We can completely trust and depend on God with gratitude because of who He is – loving, kind, gracious, and faithful. His love towards us is immeasurable and infinite. As we face challenges in life, good or bad, we need to learn to accept His will. God has a perfect plan for every detail that comes our way. We should rejoice in the Lord, praise Him, sing Him a new song, and worship Him in spirit and truth. Let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts and be at peace with one another.
We should live each day as if it were our last and be kind, compassionate, and loving to each other. By allowing the Spirit of God to teach us wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, we can live a life that reflects Jesus wherever we go. Romans 12:18 teaches us to live at peace with everyone as far as it depends on us. 1 John 4:19 reminds us that we love because He first loved us. All glory goes to our God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We experience the manifest love of God for all His beloved children. We are forever loved, and nothing can ever change that.
