The Soul of Man

By Rev. Keith Howard

Scripture:

“In whose hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.” – Job 12:10 (NKJV)

Reflection:

The soul is not a mystery—it’s the masterpiece of God within us. When God breathed into Adam, dust became destiny. That same breath sustains us today.

We often care for our bodies, feed our minds, and chase dreams, but what about our souls?

Your soul is eternal—it feels, believes, and connects with the Creator.

Job reminds us that our soul, our very breath, is held securely in God’s hand.

Personal Reflection:

I remember a season when I was spiritually drained. Ministry was moving, but my soul was empty. One morning in prayer, I felt God whisper, “Stop working for Me and start sitting with Me.” That moment changed me.

My soul found rest again—not in activity, but in intimacy. ~ Keith

Life changes when we live with that awareness. It humbles us in success and steadies us in storms. Our soul is not self-owned; it’s God-owned.

Personal Challenge:

Take a few moments today and breathe deeply.

Then whisper this prayer:

“Lord, thank You for the breath in my lungs and the life in my soul. Restore what’s weary and remind me that I am safely held in Your hands.”

Faith in Action:

• Feed your soul daily with Scripture and prayer.

• Forgive quickly and guard your peace.

• Rest in knowing your soul belongs to God.
